Before starting Woodlawn in 1981, Gerry worked for The Sperry Gyroscope Company (Honeywell) here in Ottawa for 20 years. During that period he gained a vast array of experience on various heavy remote gyros. Gerry now has a total of 38 years experience in the instrument repair and overhaul industry. He currently sits as a director on the board of the AIA (Aircraft Instrument Association).

Sharon Cook - Secretary Treasurer

Since being thrust into the aviation field in 1981, Sharon has gained extensive knowledge in all facets of aircraft instrumentation. Along with her husband, she is well known in both the Canadian industry as well as in the US. Sharon is also heavily involved in the AIA.

Richard Thompson - Director of Sales and Marketing

Richard has had an illustrious 40 year career in aviation. He has worked for many well known organizations including Viking Helicopters, Standard Aero, Field Aviation, Piedmont, and US Air. For over ten years now, Richard has been the driving force behind our sales department, and we're very proud to have him on staff.

Cathy Berger - Accounts Manager, Office Manager

Cathy began her career in aviation in 1989 as a receptionist for Gralen Communications. She later became Chief Charter Co-ordinator for Capital Aviation, a small charter operation based here in Ottawa, Canada. In 1995, she joined her parents at Woodlawn, and today takes care of all customer and vendor accounts as well as overseeing all other office activities. Cathy is a highly respected member of our team.

Ian Cook - Inspector, Technical Supervisor

Ian joined the family business as a technician in 1990. Since then, he has gained a wide variety of experience on many types of instrumentation. In 1999, Ian became an inspector and was promoted to technical supervisor in 2000. He is responsible for all technical staff as well as being the customer service representative for the shop . His goal is to maintain our high level of customer satisfaction.
